Abstract. This article examines the representation of emotions in contemporary English discourse. It explores the ways in which emotions are expressed, communicated, and interpreted in modern texts, including spoken and written forms. The study focuses on linguistic strategies, such as lexical choices, syntactic constructions, and pragmatic devices, that convey emotional meaning. Special attention is given to the role of context, cultural norms, and social factors in shaping emotional expression. The findings highlight the complexity and diversity of emotional representation in contemporary English, offering insights into both language use and human communication.
