Pedagogical terms in John Dewey’s papers are investigated in the current article. The investigation is performed by formation and comparison of semantic networks of terms. Semantic networks are analyzed with the WordNet lexical database and compared with each other. Factual and contextual information about Dewey’s ideas is obtained from the results of the comparison. The use of the grammatical links between the terms to form the semantic networks and the use of the semantic networks to get new information about Dewey’s pedagogical ideas are the novelty of the current analysis. Practical importance of the current study is connected to the development of the method of comparison of scientific papers using their semantic networks.
