Тhis study covers the techniques and tools suitable for creating a natural language interface (NLI) of a system for dynamic quality monitoring in education. The main objective is to automatize the generation of values of quantitative indicators based on raw data of the assessed objects. The implementation of such a NLI requires the creation of: a) a model of the domain area (in this case - the context is the educational area); b) a model of a quality assessment system (including a hierarchical system of standards, criteria, qualitative and quantitative indicators, etc.); c) linguistic database and procedures ensuring the processing of texts written in natural language; d) methods and tools for automated data extraction from various information systems in order to form values of quantitative indicators, etc.) Models, methodology, and tools for creating a NLI for a specific digital environment for the evaluation and accreditation of Bulgarian higher education are developed. Experiments with the evaluation of quantitative indicators (formulated in natural language) used in monitoring professional fields in Bulgarian higher education are provided.
